A University of Reading Open Day gives prospective students the opportunity to experience what real student life can be like. Visitors can speak with current students, meet teaching staff and explore both the academic and social sides of the university.

The University of Reading will hold its next Undergraduate Open Days

10 October 2026 and 7 November 2026. Both Open Days will run from 09:00 to 16:00 across Whiteknights Campus and London Road Campus. 

Hear Real Student Experiences

During the Open Day, current University of Reading students share their own experiences.

Prospective students can speak with them to learn more about:

Meet Teaching Staff

Visitors can speak with lecturers and staff who may support them during their course.

Students attending the Open Day are encouraged to meet as many lecturers as possible and ask any questions they have about their chosen subject.

Take Part in Taster Sessions

The University of Reading Open Day also includes taster sessions.

These sessions involve lecturers and students and help visitors get a better idea of what studying at the university can be like.
