Calverton School was founded in 1967 and began its first academic year in September with 4 classrooms and 85 students. Over time, the school has upgraded all its infrastructure and facilities, becoming an educational institution capable of offering high-quality education not only to local students but also to international students. Currently, the school occupies a 54-acre campus that includes a sports complex, residential area, natural greenbelt and forested area, a water body located between the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay.

Programs offered by Calverton School:

1. Preschool – Elementary Education (up to 5th grade)
2. Middle School Education (6th–8th grades)
3. Upper School Education (9th–12th grades)

The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, particularly for 11th-grade students with a solid middle school education foundation, providing them with an easier path to admission into American universities. In addition, the school offers discounted tuition for students from low-income families. Currently, 52% of students at the school benefit from this scholarship.

Beyond its academic programs, the school also organizes a variety of engaging extracurricular activities, including:
