IUBH University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1998 as a private business school in Bad Honnef, a town near Bonn. The university has campuses in Bad Honnef, Bad Reichenhall, and Berlin. IUBH’s modern campus is located in the heart of Bad Honnef, in the scenic area of St Peter Park and Anno Park. Düsseldorf is approximately a one-hour drive, and Cologne is about 30 minutes away from the university.

Overall, around 9,000 students study at the IUBH campuses. The teaching process is conducted by professors who graduated from internationally recognized universities and have many years of experience in business and tourism management. The instruction languages are mainly English and German. The university organizes special seminars called “Lessons from the CEO” featuring top-level managers. The career service provides students with advice on internships and employment opportunities.

IUBH students have the opportunity to complete internships at major German companies such as Airberlin, Deutsche Lufthansa, and the airports in Cologne and Bonn. The university’s extensive industry connections significantly support graduates’ career development — 75% of students find employment within three months after graduation.

The university has long-standing collaborations with leading universities across North and South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. IUBH offers students the chance to complete their study programs abroad, which helps improve their foreign language skills and gain practical experience at international companies.

All programs are accredited by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation), and the university was recognized by the German Council of Science and Humanities in 2009. Between 2020 and 2022, the Business Administration program was ranked among Germany’s leading programs in several categories by the CHE Ranking.
