SOAS Programme Updates for 2026/27

SOAS has introduced updates affecting foundation pathways, marketing, law and international studies.

International Foundation Programme Changes

The separate SOAS International Foundation Programme was removed for entry from 2026 onwards. However, integrated BA/BSc with Foundation Year pathways remain available. It is important to distinguish between the discontinued standalone International Foundation Programme and undergraduate degrees that continue to include a Foundation Year.

MSc International Marketing Accreditation

The MSc International Marketing programme is now accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

LLM Programmes for January 2027 Entry

SOAS lists the following programmes for its January 2027 intake:

Joint Master’s Programme with Nazarbayev University

SOAS sets undergraduate admission requirements according to applicants’ previous academic qualifications.

Requirements for Applicants from Azerbaijan

Applicants holding the Azerbaijan General Secondary Education Certificate require an external International Foundation Programme.

SOAS Postgraduate Entry Requirements

Postgraduate applicants are expected to hold at least a Second-Class Honours degree.

For applicants from Azerbaijan, the presentation lists:

•⁠  ⁠Undergraduate GPA of 3.5;

•⁠  ⁠Or an academic result of 70%.

SOAS English Language Requirements

SOAS accepts several English language qualifications for direct undergraduate and postgraduate entry.

•⁠  ⁠£5,000 each;

•⁠  ⁠Awarded on academic merit;

•⁠  ⁠AAB at A-Level or equivalent;

•⁠  ⁠Available to international fee-paying students;

•⁠  ⁠Application deadline: 31 May 2026.

SOAS Master’s Scholarship (International)

•⁠  ⁠150 partial tuition fee waivers;

•⁠  ⁠£8,000 each;

•⁠  ⁠Awarded on academic merit;

•⁠  ⁠UK 2:1 or equivalent;

SOAS Agent Quality Framework (AQF)
