The Calverton School has been established in 1967 in Huntingtown and started the academic year in September with 85 students in four classrooms. Throughout this long period time the schools has succeeded to grow, enhance the facilities and become a high-quality of education provider for not only local students but also international students coming from all around the world. Nowadays the school is located in the 135 acres area including - sports complex, Global Housing Village, nature trails and forests, streams and marshland between the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay.
The Calverton School offers:
- Lower School: Preschool – Grade 5
- Middle School: Grade 6 – Grade 8
- Upper School: Grade 9 – Grade 12
and International Baccalaureate Courses. The School offer need-based financial aid merit-based scholarship. 52% of the students are currently covered under these programs.
Besides the school is frequently arranging co-curricular activities available for all ages of students that include:
