Işık University has ben founded in 1996. Today University offers 5 faculties alongside with 35 undergraduate programs, 17 master's programs, two Vocational Schools with 21 accociate degree programs.
University has 2 campuses - in Şile and Maslak.

Şile campus hosts below mentioned study programs:

Maslak Campus hosts:

• Faculty of Fine Arts
• Graduate School for Science and Engineering
• Graduate school for Social Sciences

Students studying in Şile campus can spend good time in sports centers, 24 hour working library, medical center and cafeterias, computer labs, markets and restaurants. The campus also provides students with a rich recreational and cultural life including cocerts, festivals, galleries, seminars and other activties.

Maslak campus is located in the city center of Istanbul and hosts graduate programs and the Faculty of Fine Arts.
