Southampton University as a pioneer in forging special relationships with other universities to ensure high academic standards were one of the first universities in the world to have a department of electronics.

This high ranked university is in the list of top 100 global universities according to QS World University Rankings, 2019 and a founding member of the Russell Group, committed to maintaining the highest research and teaching standards. University organizes Electronic and Computer Science Courses for students who planning to study Electronics, Biomedical Engineering.

This year university plans to provide an online version of the Summer Taster Course due to the pandemic. Courses will take place from 2nd to 6th of August, 2021.

Students interested in Computer Science, Engineering and Biomedical Engineering are welcome to apply. The course aims to give students skills in these areas so that they can apply them in their future career. Students will also have the opportunity to communicate and work with experienced academics and have virtual tours of their labs and accommodation.

There are two types of courses in this year:
Enhanced course, is a traditional one-week course with mentors, small group work. This course will require an application, meet the requirements for admission and costs £35. At the end, participants will receive certificates.

Second offered course is Global, and it is planned for all who want to attend without any additional application and requirements. Participants will have access to keynotes and also lectures from modules. Moreover, there is no additional fee.
