University of Leicester is getting secure for September 2021 arrivals. Due to Covid-19 pandemic the UK Government has classified the countries in Green, Red and Amber lists and the University is planning to place the international students according to this classification. Such as:
- students travelling from or through the countries included in the Green list will not need to stay in quarantine.
- students traveling from or passing through the Amber listed countries will need to spend 10 days in quarantine. The accommodation for those students will be arranged by the University upon their arrival in Leicester. All the necessary amenities – accommodation, food and basic essentials will be covered by the University.
- students travelling or passing through the Red listed countries will need to spend 10 days in the quarantine hotels upon their arrival in the UK. Payments should be made by the student however the University will reimburse this cost up to £1,750.

Please note that applications for undergraduate degrees are still open for 2021 intakes. If you do not meet the criteria at your first attempts you can still apply for the University after 5th of July when Clearing stage is being announced.
